Certain products on Amazon will be gated as they are classified as dangerous goods / hazardous materials (hazmat). You can get around this by applying to be part of the Amazon Hazmat Programme.
Sometimes there is a slight waitlist on for this, so make sure to get this done right away, even if you are not trying to sell anything classed as hazmat right away - you may need it in the future, so it's useful to make sure you're eligible to sell in this category of items.
When you are sending hazmat units to Amazon, you’ll have to send them in a separate box to other non-hazmat products. You’ll also be unable to use Amazon’s partnership with UPS to send these goods, and will have to send via another carrier which will typically be more expensive as they are not partnered with Amazon. You can still send direct via UPS, but you won’t be able to get the discounted rates, as you cannot book the shipment directly via Amazon.
